Customs officials ask for bribe

If you have an old digital camera - the guys will stop you and say that the cost of camera is greater than Rs. 25,000 (mine was an old camera MRP 10K). They say that if a case is made it will take 2 months before I get my camera back - the options are to pay 1000 or get receipt from home.

I went home and got the receipt. The receipt was computer generated by Croma, so the officer said that this may be forged (really?) and that I should pay 1000 bucks or deposit the camera. I had to pay 1000 bucks.
