I was visiting India in 2010, At the airport to get stamp in my sons US passport based on a PIO I was asked by the customs and immigration lady to put US $20 in the passport. Smilingly she told me "Problems lekunda stamp chesthanu " ( Will stamp without any problem). When asked why should I she told its norm for PIO.
