I had lost my mobile and to get a new SIM of the same number, I had to get an FIR. I went to a Police Station for the first time in my life. A new SIM costs INR 100 and I was asked to pay the same amount for getting an FIR written in the name of "chai-paani". I told them that I was a student and that I did not have that much money (which was a lie) but they still kept pestering me. Then after some negotiations, they agreed to an amount of INR 20. This was my first deal involving bribery.
