Photography equipment of 3.5L stolen in front of police station. police not giving report or status.

I had my photography equipment on 3-Apr-2015 at 3pm IST stolen right in front of the Lokmanya Tilak police station new crawford market Mumbai. Police took FIVE hours to file the FIR number 140.

Officer who filed the FIR was Suraj Devkar, mobile number + 919503635300 and + 919594917732.

Since then I have just been chasing him for status and official report. He mostly does not pick up phone. Even if he does, the standard reply is "investigation is going on". Officially, the police must close the case after 3 months and give me a closure report.

When I call police station, they keep asking me to contact Suraj Devkar.

I have been chasing him for the closure report but this policeman is just absconding mostly, or not willing to give a status or report.

I am not sure how can this message help me in getting the report but it should definitely help other people to be aware of reluctant police behavior.
