Bribes called Service Charge
At Sobha Magnolia off Bannergahtta Road there is obviously a frustrated move by some owner to encourage other co-owners to pay Rs 12,000 to obtain Khata and/or pay property taxes. The promoter is demanding openly the above amount and further 50% of the owners in the complex pay the amount. How dare institutions do such things calling it as a service charge. Is there no way that the promoter can be made to do the bifurcation of the Katha by the BBMP or some other body ? The promoter has at every step collected the so called service charge to transfer the electricity meter, registration of the apartments and now wants money to get the Katha and pay property tax. Is there a way honest owners can pay property taxes without getting into such a web of shameless state of affairs? Corruption/?? What else?
