Bridbe asked at the Provident Fund Office, Vashi by Mrs.Sushila and Mr.P.K.Dake
We wanted to register of our company into the EPF ambit (though we need not), for the benefit of our future employees voluntarily. We had provided the details, as recommended by Mr.P.K.Dake himself.
Mrs.Sushila then asked for INR 12,000/- , as bribe, said that it for the Assistant Commissioner. We refused to pay and was made to visit the office multiple times, Once they understood that we will not pay any bribe, the Assistant Commissioner promptly rejected, without giving any reason. When I waited for 2 Hours and asked him, he said I will not tell you go and complained to MR.Robert Kapai, the commissioner.
I did exactly that and I was told by the Commissioner that it is rejected, because the application did not meet the proof of the requirements. Remember we wanted to register for VPF and therefore did not other. I shudder to think of the companies, which legally have to get registered. They will have to pay money to such people, as the system will penalize them else. Since we were legally outside the requirement and were able to refuse to pay the bride. Thank God for small mercies.
If this is the case for a voluntary registration, I am sure the complaints regarding the PF funds not paid people must be because they are not bribing these people..
