Clerk demanding bribe for Scholarship, I didn't pay
2 years ago i was studying post graduation. There were some issue created with my scholarship. As per clerk said, my scholarship form is not accepted due to some document issue. But I was submitted all the documents. My name was also not found in rejected student list. So I asked to clerk, "why my scholarship getting late or what an issue ?". After dozens of visits clerk asked me for contact no. and he says, "when the scholarship will received, i will call u personally. no need to visit again."
After a few days, he call me at Sunday, which officially holiday, that call also came from local STD booth, not from any personal mobile and he asked me to ********** anywhere silent place except my/his home or college. I was shocked, why he want to ********** unofficially. Then-after I thought that he might be demanding bribe And that was the true. In our outside meeting he was asked, "Your scholarship is already rejected and now not possible to get again, but if you have ready to pay some amount (10%-20%) of scholarship in advance, I have to paid some other officers also. I will surely try to get your scholarship. Either you just decide as early as possible or you have to miss all the amount." He was also opposed me to call it 'Fund' instead of 'Scholarship'.
I told him, "How you can get the scholarship which is rejected already ?"
He said, "don't worry, i will manage, you just give me the commission amount in advance".
I said that I have to discuss with my parents, I can't give you amount directly. And I was also give him a option that, if I will ready to give a commission, but I won't pay you in advance. I will paid you after received scholarship, but he won't agree this condition."
He called me couple of times but i didn't received, After that I went to college, met him officially, and gave him some bluff that one my relative is working at ********** ********** Office, (Scholarships details are maintain at here) I will try to ask for my scholarship's actual status, whether is it rejected, delivered, returned or anything else ?
Immediate Next day, he was called me and said that your scholarship is ready, you can take it.
In this way I have received my full scholarship without paying any bribe.
Stop bribe.... Stop corruption.....
