Denied bus-pass for refusing to pay bribe
I read in DAV public school in Dhanbad during my intermediate. BCCL used to provide bus transport to children of its employees to and from the school back to home. However, one needs to get a bus pass for getting the transport.
I went to Koyla Bhavan in Dhanbad with necessary documents to get the bus pass. However, even after visiting several times, I was denied bus pass because everytime I was asked to pay Rs 100 as bribe. I complained to the higher authority but it was of no use. I refused to pay bribe and travelled by auto to the school everyday. People may consider me as a fool because I spent much larger amount as auto fare during my two years at the school, but I think I was right because I refused to pay bribe to an office babu.
