First time someone was asking for bribe
It was march 2009, we (me and my friend(his)) been to sayajigunj police station, Vadodara for his passport verification, they ask as to visit another office in narmada bhavan, jail road, Vadodara. we been there and finally we were in front of an officer who was having my friends passport with him for verification. He said "fees lagega" we said go ahead but finish the matter today. He asked my friend to put Rs. 100 in his drawer. My friend did so. when we he gave passport to him and said everything is over you can leave. i was watching everything and i asked for receipt for that Rs.100. so that officer return my friend's Rs. 100 and took his passport and put it in the locker and gone out for tea.
i ask my friend to come with me to the police commissioner and we explain everything to her and finally she called the commissioner of that department and ask us to ********** him. we went again to the narmada bhavan and waiting for our turn to see the commissioner. some how that passport verifying officer saw us there and touches his feet and said so many thing and return my friends passport and almost he pulled us out of the room and convinced my friend to withdraw his complain.
i was very angry with my friend for his stand.
