I was financially destroyed because I refused to pay a bribe
I run a small college. As per norms of the Government of India, every year we have to renew our license from Medical Education Department, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
2 officers of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, namely:-
Dr. Vishwas Mehta, Jt. Secretary (at that time) - Kerala cadre IAS
Sube Singh, person who used to work under Vishwas Mehta
These 2 officers asked for bribe. I refused to pay. My college was denied permission despite having completed all the requisite formalities. I complained in writing to CBI, CVC, Prime Minister, Home Minister, Health Minister, no one paid any heed.
My loss approximately 5 crores. Students who wanted to take admission and build their careers, could not, because my college was denied permission. Faculty and staff of the college lost their jobs, because I could not afford to pay their salaries any more. Who is responsible for this loss of the nation? Why no action is being taken against these 2 corrupt officers despite written complaints? I don't have answers, only anger against the government, the system and my fellow Indians for glorifying this corrupt country.
