Marriage Certificate in One Day
Hello
Me and my wife were to travel outside the country for some official work on a months notice. We got married last year and unlike others we did not get the marriage certificate till that time and also did not have each others name in our passports. To fly one may need marriage certificate to apply for visa. I went to my local ********** registrar office and found that it may take aound 1.5-2 months to get a certificate. Ofcourse we did not have that kind of time. I inquired the about the shorter route. I found that if you want a certificate you can get it on one day, but the fees for that is Rs.20,000. By legel route its rs 100. We communicated in our offices that due this delays we may not be able to fly. Determinedly we did not pay to the middle man and applied by legal route. It would take 2 months but there is sure a sense of satisfaction. A lesson for us to get things on time. I often found that we want to escape from our responsibilities some as well and get lazy may be. There are long ques in India and we tend to see our comfort. Lets try to change that and do things on time.
