Mobile phone theft FIR
My mobile phone was stolen from me when i was in a crowded bus. since it was only 2 months old and cost 23K i rushed to the police station. Me and my colleague had a pretty good idea of 'whodunit' but t police asked me to come t next day with the IMEI no, bill etc. I did and told them i want a case registered. they gave me some slip in Kannada (am not a native) and told me that was enough to get my mobile insurance. When i reached the insurance company i was told tat i wld need an FIR or a C Misc and they trip back to the police station started once more. me and my colleague both women were adamant and sat at the police station and waited it out. we finally got the FIR-C Misc. I know they expected a bribe we didnt pay, hope they do cooperate wen the insurance proceedings happen.
