The officer asked for "KHARCHA-PANI"
It was regarding the change of address on Passport of my wife since we have come back from Gurgaon to Jaipur(our home town). The officer after finishing all his duties(not really done by himself), the duty of him was to verify himself about my wife to our neighbours but he asked us to get it verified, even if it was fake or signed by us( he would not care as this is the habit of our officers to sit on their chair and get their field work done by others which they are supposed to do) though it was not done fake..haha.
After everything was finished, before leaving my apartment he asked for "KHARCHA PANI". I simply said that I left government engineering job just because I could not coop with corrupt collegues and seniors. Also, I am a devoted member of "********** SWABHIMAN" & INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION".
Officer didnt utter a word and left. When Police verification was delayed beyond time limit I reported it to MoE and later the work was done but I still doubt if the officer was taken care of.. I feel pity for the system we are living in. We need change and we must CHANGE.
