Passport for my daughters who was 2 yr and 4 yrs respectively
I was asked by Enquiry Officer from Delhi Police to give him an amount for the Passport that I applied for my little daughters. I resisted and did not pay. He made my File Incomplete on the plea that I did not produce all documents. I had to go to Passport Office again, re-apply for fresh enquiry.
For a small child, I did not understand what level of documentation is required, although I gave the proof of birth certificates as well as my Passport and wife's passport copy.
For defending against bribe, I waited for 2 years from the date of Deposit of my children's passport form, for the Passport to be issued.
I went and met Officers, wrote to the Ministry, and did whatever I could.
A bribe would have saved my time and money that I spent on travelling to various Govt Offices.
