Still waiting to get a Khata certificate
I purchased a flat for my elderly parents last year with the intention of transferring it to their name via gift deed. For this we were asked to get the Khata certificate. To my disappointment, due to pressure from the builder, we are unable to apply for the khata since we refused to go via the builder who wants us to pay a bribe amount of Rs. 20,000. I'm NOT paying a single paisa and will continue trying. Keeping fingers crossed!
