Threatened after not paying bribe
Name of officer: Not sure/deptuy registrar? female
Date of incident: 24.10.2016
time of incident: 12:10 pm
location: registrar office, yeswanthpur
designation of the officer: deptuy registrar, whole office was aware in involved at all ranks
Was asked to pay Rs. 100 by the typist, which we did thinking it is a legit fee.
Was then asked fro rs. 500 by the lady officer in question. we asked for receipt. she said for rs. 130 we can get the receipt, not for the rest. upon hesitance to pay the rest, she said give 150 only. but openly threatened that if we dont give 500 Rs., she will delay documents at time of VISA office correspondence in future. She tried justifying that the postage for any correspondence in future this money will be used. If so, why no receipt.
Also, typist took money from every person, for typing or typing in priority.
