Either the mother or a family member can approach Secretary of Zilla Parishad who is usually an administrative service officer and present the grievance against Zilla Parishad officials who are dilly-dallying the pension case. Further, you should approach Pension Adalat, if there is one in Maharashtra. You can also petition Secretary, Panchayati Raj Department / Rural Development Department, as the case may be, citing the harassment meted out to your mother. As a last resort, you can approach administrative tribunal alleging undue delay in finalizing her pension and claim pension with interest for delayed payment to be recovered from officials responsible for such delay.
