Customer officer denied to register electronic equipment without getting bribe
While leaving country i wanted by expensive electronic equipment to get registered with customs so while bringing them back from abroad I don't have to pay custom duty. Its a free registration service but custom officer dined to register the equipment and asked more than Rs5000 for the same. It was like blackmail. Now you are in airport with your equipment and custom officer is not registering them. Now the only option left is to pay the bribe or get into their trap while returning from abroad. Its a scam running by custom dept to harass people. I don't believe that no senior officer in custom dept or govt is not aware about this.
