Havent received refund for close to 5 years
Starting AY 2008-09, I haven't received my refunds which cumulatively amounts to Rs.55000 now. For the past 8 months, I have made multiple visits to the IT office in Bellary road, submitted all tax proof papers, have written multiple letters and have made innumerable calls all in vain. Every time, I am given some reason or the other and footballed around but there is no resolution. I was told that there is a technical fault and their system could not locate the taxes I had paid/TDS deducted for AY 2008-09 and it will keep on tallying any excess tax I would pay year on year against this outstanding amount until this system fault is rectified. Unfortunately inspite of multiple follow-ups, mails and submitted document proofs they don't seem to be rectifying their system fault and processing my refunds. I had not paid any bribe till date and do not want to pay a bribe either. I am completely lost on how do I get them to rectify their system fault , refund my excess tax and stop the system from tallying any excess tax I pay against the faultiliy registered outstanding amount. Any suggestion to get my refunds back would be of a great help.
