I have a valid passport which expires in October 2012. Meanwhile, I need additional pages for getting visas. How do I get this processed in a short time?

There is no procedure for adding additional pages. This requires issue of a new Passport booklet and is returned along with the old passport. For this service, the procedure applicable for the issue of a new Passport: 

The following are the requirements for issuing a new passport pages:

1. 
   Duly completed application form filled in Block Letters in expanded form using black/blue ink only (Application Form for an Indian Passport)


2. 
   Four latest identical passport size photographs depicting the applicant's front pose against light background;


3. 
   In cases, where the passport has already expired for more than one year, the Applicant should submit an affidavit and may have to appear personally, if required by the Consular Officer;


4. 
   Two proofs of residence/mailing address in USA (photocopy of driving license/ lease agreement/ utility bills etc.);


5. 
   Alien Status (photocopy of US Visa/Green Card/ work authorization card);


6. 
   Current Passport;


7. 
   Fee

   Applicants applying for a new passport or additional booklet are required to submit a photocopy of marriage certificate, in case, the name of their spouses have not been included in their respective passports.

If the application is found to be in order and no prior reference is required to be made to the original Passport Issuing Authority, the passport will be issued within the normal period of 10 working/business days if received in mail.
