I want to make my sc caste certificate but i have no any parential caste certificate. my parent has been living in delhi since 1990.i beloning in mallah caste.how can i make my caste ceritficate.
The procedure for issuing of a caste certificate varies from State to State. Typically, certificates are issued by the SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) or the Taluk Magistrate of the Revenue Department, usually called a Tahsildar. Depending upon the State in which you are, application forms may be available online also. If not, please approach the office of the Tehsildar who has jurisdiction over the place at which you stay. In case none of your family members have earlier been issued a Caste Certificate, a local enquiry is conducted before issuing the Certificate to you. In such cases, you must prodice proof of residence in the State concerned for a minimum specified period is required. You will also have to fill up an affidavit stating that you belong to a Scheduled Caste and pay the specified court stamp fee are required at the time of application.
