My marriage date is 14th April,2013, Both husband and wife staying at Delhi, Our present address in at Lajpat Nagar, so we are supposed to get our marriage registered at Saket MB road SDM office. I applied online at http://districts.delhigovt.nic.in/choosedistrict.asp and got an appointment date.This site has the option to apply for marriage registration at Saket MB Road SDM oofice. However when we reached the SDM office on appointed date, we were told that they DON"t CONSIDER online applications!!!(probbaly because we didn't hire any consultant.) We were told that we are supposed to first submit the documents in person. They we would get an appointment for a month later or so.
We then gave them our documents for applying in person. However now we were asked for PAN card as well which we didn;t carry as its nowhere mentioned to have PAN card for marriage registration when we have other proofs for identity and address. I ahev basically two questions:
1) Can they refuse to accept the Online Application when that SDM office is listed in Online procedure?
2) in PAN card mandatory when we have all other proofs for identity and address?
