The Officer-in-charge was courteos and honest
In 2005 I needed a police verification for passports of myself and my wife. I went to the local post office in Anugul, Orissa on receipt of a telephonic call insisting for personal visit. We went there and the OIC promptly completed the verification process and offered us tea. None of the officials charged a penny from us. It was a surprisingly pleasant experience.
