90 Rs. for getting the sign on my application.

I lost my mobile yesterday & for getting the duplicate sim cards, I had to show an application, duly signed by the T.I. of that thana, stating that my mobile was lost; to the mobile service provider companies. Upon reaching the Thana Baghsevaniya, Bhopal, I was also asked by a personnal sitting on the gate to submit an affedavit from a notary along with the application for getting the sign. Upon saying that I was totally unaware of this new rule, he sent me to the T.I.'s room & told that upon request, he would sign that off.
But when my turn came, he said that getting the affedavit was mandatory & upon failing to submit it with the application, I was asked to hand him the money (Rs. 100) for attesting the application. Thus, I reluctantly handed him whatever I was having at that time (Rs. 90, partially in 10 rs. notes as well), even when I was knowing I am doing wrong (so I can't entirely blame him for this case, it was my fault too). And this was how my very first experience with the Thana & Police went on without much glitches.
