For the first time I experienced as to how frustrating it is to get a job done when it comes to a government department. I applied for a marriage certificate with all the valid documents but still made 5 visits to the Goregaon BMC office in Mumbai which streched to around 45 days. The officer named Mr. **********, simply pointed out incompleteness in the documents, every time i made a visit. Their sole motive is to harass people & then ask for a bribe. Its more in case of minorities,as i'm one & thats how i have felt. Finally i had to ask him for how much 'Chai Pani' he needs to get the work done. His assistance named ********** quoted 3000rs but settled for 1500rs after bargaining. Was surprised to get it within 2 days of giving 'Chai Pani'.
