I wanted to regularise my water connection in Someswara Layout Bilekahalli, Bangalore, for which I filled up the Sakala Form and with all other related documents went to the BWSSB Office. The officer concerned did not accept the form and directed me to a plumber, who asked Rs. 8000/- and negotiated to Rs. 5000/- over and above the official expenses. I asked him what for the amount, he told me that it is the office expenses, he is the responsible for the water connection, inside office there are so many expenses. After that I again went to the officer, and he telling me to negotiate with the plumber and get the work done. I told him I will not pay like that, I will pay whatever the official charges with a valid receipt. He send me back saying that it is not possible. The plumber commenting there, "let us see how he is getting the connection." My work is still pending. I cannot take leave from office regularly only to get a water connection regularisation, which is an impossible task without a bribe. CAN PUBLICISE THIS, WITH OUT MY NAME AND ADDRESS, AS THEY WILL HARASS ME AND I WILL NOT GET WATER THERE AFTER.
