Bribe for entering andhra - permit
We were traveling to tirupathi from bangalore, and were stopped at the chitoor checkpost for the vehicle permit. Initially, the driver told us to pay Rs.3500.It was taking quite some time for the driver to return from the checkpost and we went to check it up. There we saw a board which mentioned the actual entry tax which summed up to Rs.2490.Also the driver gave us an receipt of the same amount. However the officials had collected 3500, which is Rs.1000 extra, and another Rs.100 for the watchman of that place. This is a total rip off by the RTO, and the officials are getting lakhs of money easily unaccounted for. When will action be taken against such evident corruption.
