It has become a practice to take bribe in Gandhinagar Passport office, Gujarat. There are a few colleges nearby from whom hundreds of students apply for passports. They are indirectly given the message that they will have trouble getting passports if they dont pay up. There is an attached police station which supports this and takes part of commission. The passport officials do not even come for verification. We have to go to thier office and stand like criminals.
