Bribe for resolving water problem in ********** Beema Nagar

I was forced to pay a bribe of Rs. 17,000 by the official in BWSSB. I have a water supply problem to my house and I donot get any water inspite of paying my bills on time, whereas my neighbours do get water. When I reported this, I was told that I have to give a complaint in writing to this official who will then liase to get the problem sorted. However once I gave my report in writing, he did nothing and closed the case. When I followed up, he said, we will have to pay him bribe or he will not do it, and also ensure no one else gets this done as he has a monopoly in the area. After sufferring for almost 2 years with the water problem, I had to give up and pay him the bribe in Nov last year.
Its now March and he still hasnt resolved the water problem. I not only paid a bribe, but also lost the money as the BWSSB official doesnt even pick my calls anymore. The problem persists :(
