I was allotted a site after 6 or 7 attempts in Mysore urban devep authority. Though there were many hassles in getting the sale deed, succeeded in getting, after paying a bribe to a senior clerk. HE threatened that since he is a SC / ST, If I dont pay up he will fix me up in atrocities on SC/ST act. Then went to subregistrars office in the same . They wanted a lot of documents, which was not needed to register my site. Since I had given my bangalore address, he wanted a letter from BDA that I have not been allotted a site or own a property in Bangalore, which obviously is difficult to get. Then he told that i have to get a Encumberrance certificate, which is dated just a day earlier that of the day of registration, again a difficult task.after 3 abortive attempts, I fixed up a deal through a broker, for Rs 4500 and my property was registered without any hastle, and I did not have to d anything except affix my signature on relevant papers. There was honesty in dealing by Sub registrar.
