Hi,
i have been trying to start my own bussiness in vijayawada , andhrapradesh, i have small site in municipal limits in which i tried to start bussiness by availing loan from bank, i have been asked to produce tax receipt to confirm occupation of the premisis, so i approached to enquire about the process in bhavanipuram municipal office , there i was informed that there is vacant land tax and i need to pay the tax around 3 lacs, i informed them clearly that we have construction in the site long before this rule , then they started asking about layout approval which i have no idea, i have then asked them to provide demand notice for the same to pay but notice has not been provided , i visited main office, again it is routed to same bhavanipuram division, days were going on but there is no proper response, finally tax collection person(kumar) has opened his mouth and said if i pay some bribe he can manage and get things done in 2 days and he demanded 1 lac for the same, i rejected the same and started collecting the calculation details from which ever was available source, there is no proper information source to calculate vacant land tax even with municipality information counter, 1 month passed but i was not able to collect details , due to time shortage and loan compulsion i am forced to approach the same collector(kumar) again, then i understood that he has managed maximum sources not to provide information , in front of me there are 3 persons who are paying lump sum amounts regarding the same work, i asked them not to pay, they said that they cannot wait for many more months and information is not easy to find out and he is the only source,
un willingly i have paid my hard earned money to him after bargain and yes my site has been provided with tax receipt, i have gone through the records which were then onlined, he has paid total of 2200 to complete the work , but no receipts were uploaded.
if this site can take up this issue with senior officials of the municipal dep, i have no prrof to prove the same and i am really worried if this will create any problem to run my SSI in my site, and i have nothing left to run the show.
but i really appreciate if any action is taken and others are saved by this report
