I had applied for a duplicate Driving license on Nov 26 2010. I was told that i will be sent the DL to my house address by speed post in 15 days. I waited for 1 month but in vain. I went to the office to enquire. They said the file has to come from old branch. I waited for another month. On Jan 29, i went again and i was told that the DL was posted to my address just few minutes back! i obtained the speed post article no. from DL section officer to track my article. When i checked the article no. on EMS, it totally gave a wrong origin and destination address. I realized that i had been fooled and given a wrong article no. I went again on FEB 19 2011 to enquire. I was made to pay 100Rs without which the officer refused to give me the license! He had it with him but he never posted to my address intentionally. I HAD to shell out this bribe to get my duplicate DL. It is such a pity!
