Today I was driving to Gateway of India with my 2 international business associates around 12 noon when I was stopped by a group of traffic cops at the corner of Gate way of India. A bald cop approached me and collected my licence first then asked me to come out of the car with full docs. He says my car has the film on window and which is not allowed. I told him that the same is within the permissible list below 50 level . But he says not possible even Zero level. Secondly he argued that I am not permitted to take my business associate (foreigner) who is my guest and I have shown the proof such as vehicle registration card in my name, my driving licence (owner driving) and my business card to convince him but in vain. Since I was busy with the clients to go for an important meeting at Hotel Taj, I paid bride Rs. 100/- to avoid the inconvenience to my valuable client. I was aware that I am paying for no fault. But I tolerated in front of my guest. If the traffic commissioner is so nonest, he can easily find the culprit easily by checking the posting of the cops on this specific area at this specific time.
