Its generally very obvious with Police in India that you need to pay bribe. Either if you need to get your Driving License back, or Passport, or if you have to get an FIR to report a lost phone so that you can get the SIM blocked from Mobile Company's office. It had been many times that bribe only solves the case otherwise you'll either have to wait until indefinite time without any fault. Until you pay bribe, they'll make you stand while they will continue doing their regular taking tea, chit-chatting or showing off compiling any letter. Bribe is the only solution to get the things done in Uttarakhand and UP particularly.
