I had an important client call in the eve and was going to leave by 4 when I found that my bike was towed for no parking. Its weird cause it was quite inside the lane with residential buildings and they did not have any no parking boards over there.
I reached the RTO office near powai and showed them the docs. But i however had recently renewed my insurance and hence it wasn't with my at that moment. So they demanded 1300 rs for that. Had to give it away since I was in a hurry. It was later that I realized that the fee for insurance was only 300 Rs and the police had cheated me.
The issue here is lack of transparency.
I think the RTO offices should have a list of offenses and the charges we have to pay for those offenses.
Even now there are a lot of people who cant waste their important time bargaining against the cops. The people whose sole duty is to protect the citizens are openly looting in RTO offices.
I still have receipt with me. In case i get time to kick their ass.
