Morally incorrect moral police

Reported on April 25, 2011 from Kochi , Kerala  ι Report #9021

Me and my girlfriend were travelling back to cochin from chennai after our college closed for vacations. I was leaning on her and both of us were silently having a chat. Suddenly the TTR passed by with 2 police officers. They started asking for our details and said that we were committing an offence by sitting close to each other before marriage.
He called to separately to another compartment and started demanding 500rs or to get off at the next station. It was really late and we were travelling through some remote parts on the outskirts of tamil nadu. I said that I didn't have any money on me. He threatened me a few times and i showed him my wallet which had just 50 rs in it which i had kept for my rickshaw fare on reaching home. He took that money from me and asked to not to repeat the "mistake" again. I silently had to walk back to my seat and ask my dad to come pick me up at the station the next day.
