Mumbai Customs for TV purchase from Bangkok - with names of officials who took the bribe

I arrived in Mumbai on 29th from Bangkok and had a 42 inch TV that I paid 20000 baht for. This is about Rs.34000 and Rs.1000 less that the duty free limit. I met a customs officer *********** who said that as per his valuation the TV was Rs.68,000 and I had the pay duty on the difference between his valuation and what I paid. I explained to him that I had brought TVs before and customs in Bangalore and Chennai did not use that logic. He refused to budge. I then said I had Rs.2560 on me and he asked me to with a police office to another room and they emptied out my wallet. Before he accepted the bribe, ***********asked for permission from *********. For reference, I had only 1 piece of check in baggage and had made no other purchased during my overseas trip. I know I was right and in compliance with the import duty policy, but what was my option. Shame on you Mumbai !! There were other people in line who were also waiting to pay the bribe. So...I hope they go after ***********, ********* and his cronies and get them for anti corruption. The question is, how much of this goes to their superiors?
