- Paid INR 200
Its was Monday was my to office in my vehicle and all of sudden on the highway I was stopped by traffic cop was its senior nearby checking other vehicles. I parked my vehicle aside and inquired on what accountability I have been stopped. He told me that I have cross the signal when it was red. On saying this I defended myself by saying on which signal I have over crossed as I know there are no single signal on the Western Express Highway strech ( only if you leaving the WEH then only there are signal to take left or right ).
On arguing with that cop for more than 10 mins I approached his senior and narrated the whole incident happened with the cop and instead of giving soft approach he started pointing other fault of my that I don't have number plate as per government rules and also that I'm bearing a paper book licence instead of new licence which comes as credit card with sim in it and also he started slaping with different fines. All togather after about 25 mins of aruguing with taffic cop and his senior I was slapped a fine of 2500/- INR but I stayed defiant on my saying that i wouldn't pay a single penny for the crime which I have'nt done it.
On saying this that cop started abusing me and dire consequences and after some time give and take of words a another lower ranked officer intervenned and took me meters away from the senior oficer and told me that if that officer made the receipt of rs 2500 then I will have to pay the amount or your's vehicle and licence will be confiscated. As getting more late to office I requested that officer to get me out of the mess he told me to pay 500rs and recipt wont be made and from here my bargain start with the officer and I told him that I have only 200rs which I gave it to the low ranked officer and he told me take my vehicle and go away without any problem.
So in this way I bribed the officer and and wasted my one hour in stupid argument and this problem still persist in that area where other citizen are becoming a victim.
