I am a business man. I have computed and paid the tax on income correctly. Expenses incurred on income earned were 100% correct, for which vouchers and bills were maintained. We were called by ITO to produce documents and details, which we did on time. She(ITO) argued that the few expenses such as telephone, business promotion etc. would have incurred for personal purpose and proposed either disallowing expenses and making me pay tax of Rs.60000/- or pay Rs.25000/- as bribe and Rs.20000/- as tax. I explained her every details of business and source of my personal expenses but she was not convinced. Hence i was force to pay bribe even after doing so much work of maintaining books along with bills and vouchers.
