Paid Bribe for Police Verification for issue of PCC

I paid a bribe of Rs. 200 to ********** Police Station Police officers. I had applied for PCC from Passport Office. I was told that PCC would be directly sent to my home address in 8 working days. After 8 days, since no PCC arrived, I enquired at Passport Office, Thane. They advised me to contact Thane Police Commissioner's office for clearance of Police Verification. I went to Thane Police Commissioner's office. They told me to go to local police station at ********** as my file was sent there. Next day I went to ********** Police Station. The file was received very next day from Thane but noone from ********** Police station informed me. Neither they came to my home for Police Verification. I had to go to Police Station for my self Verification!!
And the shocking thing was, the police officer on duty cleared my verification after asking few simple questions and taking few of my official documents. He didnt asked about the witnesses at all!!! And then I was taken to the Police Inspector on duty, he signed the verification report and asked me few questions about my education and work.
After this, I was told to come to a separate office to sign the register to record that my verification is complete. This was a trap....I realized later on. Everybody who went there was asked to pay money. The on duty police officer was asking for money bluntly....He asked me to pay Rs. 200, on which I asked him for what reason he wants money? On which, he stared hard at me and said, do you want your verification completed or not??
I understood that these thick skinned corrupts have nothing to loose and they will sit on my file and do nothing about it. Ultimately I have to suffer. So I paid a bribe of Rs. 200/-.
