Police hawaldar asked Rs. 200 as his fees for police verification for the passport

- Police Verification for Passport
- Paid INR 200
Thanks to the passport seva kendra which is newly opened, my passport procedure went smoothly without giving any bribe other then the passport fees. But, the nightmare struck when the police verification took place, as after couple of days police hawaldar rang me up and I was not available at home so he told me to report to the police station and there he told me to accompany to the nearby hotel and said "200 rupiye mera fees hai verify karne ka main aapke ghar nahi aaunga yaha par hi sign karke de deta hu aap jab aaoge vapas documents submit karne toh mere seniors logo ko mat batana" i was shocked and unfortunately have to give him 200 rs as he told me that he would not sign if i dont pay the bribe. Though the amount is small in numbers but just to sign the verification I have to pay my hard earned money which is very shameful as they receive their fees from govt. to do the procedure but they need malai from common man.
