I have given my Aadhaar card registration document 3 months ago, where its been said that I will receive a message for photo and finger print registration. Today, I visited the Chengalpattu taluk office again to ask for my status, looking at the database my application was never registered. I heard from one of the staff that to apply again and wait for 2 more months since she thinks that the old application was scrapped. I felt that the same happen again if I make another application, regardless I went to pick one application from the men sitting outside the office who generally helps the public to fill in the application and charge a minimum fee of Rs.30. While telling him my issue, he said if I need the photo/fingerprint registered today then I can do it by paying Rs.500 to him directly and he will make a phone call to a guy in the office. I dont have any other choice, so I paid him the bribe, sooner he called the staff name "Mani" who told the girl who is making registration that to allow me to make the registration ASAP.
As money speaks there, my work was done within 15 min and I been given a receipt and told that I will be receiving a message in 2 months for the confirmation.
