Tinted glass - purported fine Rs. 1200/- old parents with a semi literate driver an easy target
- Transport
- False Allegations
- Paid INR 500
Today, my parent aged 73 years, along with driver were travelling to Navi Mumbai being driven by the driver. The cops charged them with Rs. 1200/- fine for tinted glass .....my semi literate driver paid Rs 500/- as bribe without as much consulting me . Because my parents are old and therefore vulnerable, the cops fleeced the bribe for a fine of Rs. 100/- . Apparently, there were multiple offences as per a long list which obviously my driver could not read....I pay my road tAxes, insurance and everything else...It's sad....really sad and disgusting....I would rather pay a fine of Rs. 1200 then pay a bribe.....seems that cop is a sadist or a orphan or an opportunist who would not detest from stooping to any level for fleecing money. Because they were vulnerable....so they could do it.....because police has arbitrary rule of getting license deposited at some far off police station on the pretext of not being able to fine on the spot....they put the purported offender on weaker footing....and in this case.....it was a perfect combination of a semi literate driver and old and infirm occupants of the .............very sad and shameful. My anger is because I was not there when the incident took place ......but this can happen to anyone' s parent....your as well......seems cops are all orphan
