Was forced to pay money without any offence done

Reported on June 5, 2015 from Mumbai , Maharashtra  ι Report #61720

Incident happened at kamani, L.B.S Road near Bharat bank, Kurla where Two police marshalls riding on a blue colour pulsar, changed the lane and was hit by my car with the speed of not more than 5km/hr. his bike got disbalanced but didnot fall they continued moving ahead and about a distance of 20meters i myself stopped my car to check if they are alright. I was wearing my seatbelt, holding my valid driving license and other documents which i was suddenly asked to produced, they took my license and other documents and asked me to pay for the damage. I asked them to show the damage happened to their bike which i could not find. Still they were claiming that i have damaged their metal storage compartment and speaking in a very rude and indisciplined manner forcefully asked me to pay 500 Rs or else come to police station and started leaving without disclosing there name and designation and also their reporting station, One out of them did had a badge and other person's badge was upside down, they were not wearing any cap and there was no sign that i could identify there designation they were not wearing the Helmet too. I stopped them and asked there name one out of them refused and said come to BKC Police station and other revealed his name ( Beat Marshall Thorat) when i said i will reach in 15min they stopped and started bargaining and agreed on 100 Rs and got away . I realised that i have paid for checking whether they are alright and also mistreated in front of the crowd. After the conversation it was clear that they intend to make some money which they did. They were approximately in the age of 30's.

Dear Sir i request you to take a necessary action beacuse the intention with which they are working for police is not good. It is shameful to see such intention from our maharshtra police. I am afraid what intention will they have in next five years as they would be promoted.

Humbly request you to take action against this shameful deed.

Thanks and Regards
