Since I have come to settled down in Chennai, I faced so many difficulties and struggled a lot but the department i.e. The Police, whom we depend and think will help us in our critical situation, in the unknown and new city, that is totally waste of time energy and money. If we bribe them then only they will look into our matter otherwise the case will be automatically closed without our knowledge.
When my purse along with debit card, cellphone, railway ticket was lost when I was going to board a train to Mumbai from Chennai Central, I immediately approached Police for the help within an hours of losing my purse but all in vain nothing happened.
Then second time (that is totally my mistake) I trusted a person and transferred money of Rs.50,000/- to his account. When realised that he had cheated me, immediately filed a complaint to CCB crime branch Egmore, Chennai but they took almost a year but did not do anything and the file is closed after a years' time without my knowledge. When I personally met Branch Manager of the Bank from where I transferred the amount to just know the persons' detail by his account number the Manager refused to relieve any details because they said that this is the work of Police. If the Police would have taken the initiative within a months' time they could have easily found the persons' address and his whereabouts by his account number with the help of the bank Manager but I did not speak about any bribe that's why nothing has been done.
Recently, when neighbours started harassing me with many problems, I gave a written complaint to the Police, he did not even read my full complaint just orally asked one or two questions and started favouring the opposite party because he came with the big shot who was knowing to the Police beforehand and discussed privately with that person. and shouting at me asked me compromise and settle the case. this is the things happen when we approach the Police and their department for any help. If we bribe them or if know anyone who is very powerful then only we can take the help of police otherwise it is waste of our time, money and energy and we are mentally tortured by ourselves.
Government should take some action or come up with strict rules with regard to Police Department then only a simple, honest and weak people can think of going to Police in their critical time and can fight for their right or else they have no options left but to simply keep quiet and take care of themselves by their own or keep struggling.
