Address verification not done because i denied to bribe him
I had applied for my passport online and took an appointment on the 2nd of May to submit all my documents at the Passport office in Lalbagh Road. After spending half a day in that scorching sunlight and standing in a queue with hundreds of people, i finally get to submit my documents. After couple of days i get a message from the nearest police station(21st Main Road, Phase 2, J. P. Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560078 )to cum & submit further documents for address verification. Again after waiting for 2 hrs on 8/5/2016 at the police station i get to meet a person by name Gangadhar(9449118715) to submit my documents who asked for unwanted documents and asked me to bring 1yr bank statement & letter from company & my salary Slips. Couple of days later i went and submitted them to him. I waited for a month & still verification is not done. Since i did not bribe him he gives me a reason of not writing the full address properly and raised his voice on me, i gave him a letter in writing with full address & signature for process.After a week he then he gives me a reason of his grand father's death & thats y verification not being done. He being in the police department n moreover a public servant unable to find my house address which is just 3 roads after the police station , what is the use of he being in the police department ? They give no respect to women & they abuse. Who should we contact for help in such cases? He may not verify and take my file further untill i pay him. But i would definitely not want to bribe him. We have to work for 9-10hrs in a day to get 500rs paid from the company. But a person like Gangadhar and his colleague will make 5000 rs a day by taking money from people for nothing.
