Bribe to Government laboratory assistant by a student
I am a postgraduate student in a government technical institute. As a part of my thesis work i am working on a furnace one of its kind available in the institute. due to some unknown reasons the furnace stopped working in the middle of my thesis work and that too when i needed it most. the lab assistant of that very lab came to knew the problem i was facing. He is the only person available who can wind up my furnace again. knowing my urgency he offered help on the cost of Rs 1000 in addition to the expenses of the commodities to be brought for repairing the furnace. being a government servant he enjoys every benefit provided by the govt. in fact this is his job for which he has been deployed here and then too he was asking for the extra money. knowing this when i resisted he started to give me warning of telling to head of the department for my negligence in the lab working.
my work was stopped for **********1 month due to him only . But parallely I was also looking for other alternative and finally i got it.A lab assistant of another laboratory had winded up the same furnace but no one had worked on it. I contacted him and he was very happy to help me. In this way I resisted the bribery to be given to the previous lab assistant
