Demanding Bribe of over 1000 rupees for Passport Verfication

I do not wish to reveal my file number as I am afraid this may affect my passport verification.On Friday 25 Mar 2017 ,In Vandavasi South Police station-604408, One lady officer is appointed particularly for Passport related enquiries. She is asking the bribe of 500 rupees.If we question her why we need to give her that much money she explains that this money will get divided till the commissioner office. Moreover she is not coming to the applicant's address for police verification.Instead she calls the applicant to the Police station and asks for the bribe.So that it will be helpful for her to corner the applicants and threaten them by telling what would happen if we are against to pay that bribe
Also she asks the applicant to get few verification signature from the town govt.authorities that I have not heard anywhere in other places for passport verification.We have to bribe these authorities as well to get the papers signed and it takes lot of effort also around two days to get them signed on. Min. 1000 rupees(i.e) 67% of the passport application spend should be given as a bribe just for verification. 1000 rupees as a bribe for passport verification is way too much.These police and govt officers have formed a group together and robbing us
I humbly request everyone to take severe action against these people and stop this crime from happening anymore. You can pick anyone who applied passport in our town came under this police station for cross verify my complaint.
