Denied Passport
One of my friends had applied for a passport, and as a part of the process, he was asked to report to local police station with documents. After producing them, he was also asked to pay a sum of Rs 2000, to which he denied, as he belongs to a very poor family. The officer said him that he'd wait for the money. My friend was not in a position to pay. It has been 8 months since that day, and he has not yet got his passport. The satus checking page on the passport website simply displays a message-police report incomplete. Is this what Indian system has become??? W/o bribe, you are denied the citizenship!!!!!!
