Near Gandhi nagar flyover near powai ,i was asked to bring my vehicle at the side of the road .I had not broken any traffic signal nor any rules .The lady traffic cop asked me to show my driving license and RC book .I showed her both and then she asked for POC and Insurance papers which i had removed recently during car wash .I told them i have the papers but today its not there .Then she called another traffic police and he told me that my license would be submitted and i need to collect it . When i asked at which place will it be submitted ,he did not give me the complete address ,Instead he told me that i will have to pay Rs 1600 to get back my license and he can return my license now ,I asked him how ? what do i need to do .He told me i will have to pay Rs 300 and i told him i only have 200 ,he agreed and took that amount .
I am really sad , I know its my mistake that i was not carrying my papers but the intention of traffic police is not to control the traffic or to maintain the decorum but instead they are more interested in taking money by scaring people that they will have to face hassle if they keep their license,
